IBM is trying to push businesses into a morevirtualrealm. A new partnership with VMWare will help businesses utilize the cloud while still using virtualization, which will help them offload workflow from on-premise data centers to the cloud. Nearly 100 percent of Fortune 500 companies use VMWare, says IBM, and moving to the cloud can help companies scale globally while avoiding the retooling expenses, development risks and security concerns associated with doing so.
